AGJV has soon bored 24 000 meter since Eufemia, the first TBM, started in September 2016. The four TBMs have approximately excavated around 66 percent of the total length. The “TBM-ladies” are hardworking, and they are excavating the hard rock in an impressive way. The first break through in the northern direction is expected in the Summer/Autumn 2018.

Bane NOR's decision to terminate the contracts with Condotte has no consequences for the EPC TBM contract with Acciona Ghella Joint Venture (AGJV) . There is no risk that AGJV's subcontractors or suppliers will be affected by the situation linked to Condotte.

WHAT IS A TBM?

Tunnel boring machines (TBM) are used to make a complete and tight tunnel in one process. On the Follo Line Project AGJV will use TBMs to build Scandinavia’s longest tunnel, on behalf of Norwegian government’s agency for railway services (Bane NOR).
