AGJV have now reached an important milestone. The TBMs have completed 50 percent of the TBM tunnels as part of the Follo Line Project.
That means AGJV has bored 18 000 meter since Eufemia, the first one, started in September last year.
The TBM Eufemia has excavated 5,3 kilometers, 60 percent of her way to Oslo, and Ellisiv is following 150 meters behind. They are both ahead of schedule and will reach Oslo within the Summer 2018. The TBMs Anna and Magda are working continuously towards Ski, and they are also on schedule. They have excavated respectively 3,8 (42 %) and 3,6 kilometers (almost 40 %). There will always be some challenges in a huge TBM-project like the Follo Line, with extremely hard rock and some weakness zones, but the production is stable and the future prospects are good. When the TBMs have finished their travel, the work also includes the design and construction/installation of railway technology.
-We have reached an impressive milestone. The cooperation between Bane NOR and AGJV is rewarding and developing, and our progress is excellent. It’s important to remember that it is less than 14 months since we started the first TBM, says the project manager for the TBM excavation in Bane NOR, Anne Kathrine Kalager.
-I would like to thank the AGJV-team for your hard work. It is a project in good shape and I am really proud of our team and the good collaboration with BN. We have been able to manage the project in a proper way. Our ambition is to be on schedule and on budget. Half bored it seems like we will succeed, says the project director in AGJV, Fernando Vara.
