The Norwegian tunnel statistics for 2017 were recently announced in Fjellspreningningskonferansen and shows that AGJV is the tunnel winner in Norway this year.
The statistics are in many ways historical. For the first time, a foreign company is on top of the volume statistics, and for the first time it’s a tunnel excavation with TBMs that wins.
In addition, it has never happened before that the winner is an entrepreneur excavating the rock volume with only one project in the portfolio. This tells everything about the size and magnitude of the Follo Line project and the production capacity of the four tunnel boring machines.
The EPC TBM project in the Follo Line will in 2017 excavate 1,465 million cubic meters of solid rock, which means that previous record from 2015, achieved by Skanska, is beaten.
